My boyfriend and I liked the Max & Erma's on Mound Rd/59, but today I called them to see what time they were open till and no answer. I looked on the M&E's website and they were no longer listed ... uh oh. We drove there and (as I suspected) they're no longer there :( but that means we headed to this location, at Partridge Creek, instead. We got there around 8:45pm and they close at 10 on Sundays. It took a while to get seated, but once we did, and ordered, our waiter was very prompt - he brought us refills on our Cokes when we had like 1/2 a glass left, which was very good. Food was yummy as usual. Check the local ads for coupons, I had a $10 off $30 one we used, and that also included a $5 off $20 and a free appetizer when you buy 2 entrees. I signed up for their e-club a while back too and they sent me the same $5 off $20 coupon. I guess this will be our new M&E location since Mound Rd. is now closed, but I actually like this one a little better than that one :) it was a bit nicer, as well. {Unrelated, I think I'm bad luck for the M&E's I frequent, lol ... Birmingham's closed a while back and now the Mound Rd. one did too, once I started going there! Oy.}

My friend and I came here after shopping the other day. We just wanted to get some drinks and appetizers. The hostess up front was very nice and cleaned off a booth for us. Our waiter was very nice as well. They had half off pitchers of sangria- we ordered the pomegranate one and it was amazing!!!! I got the French onion soup and my friend got the chicken tortilla soup both were sooo good! We then ordered the nachos with added pulled pork. Those were not so great. I wouldn't get them again.

All I can really say about this place is "meh". It truly is whatever. Every time I go here I leave disappointed and really the only reason I go is for the tortilla soup which is amazing... Other than that the food is over priced and usually not impressive. I got fish and chips here once and they were the worst I have ever had. The breaded shrimp tastes like a sea creature. Literally tastes like ocean. And i love sea food and normally never say something tastes too fishy. Everything is always stale tasting. So if you're on the fence don't bother.

If you like raw hamburger then microwaved after taken back three times.... This is your place! The manager was very nice and since my wife and I could not share a meal at the same time. Our first bad experience so instead of 4 stars... Two stars is all I can mustard.

We love the food here. If you want a spicy, different steak, try the Laredo Steak. It's excellent. The burgers are juicy & large and the fries portions are generous. I love the tomato mozzarella chicken sandwich. It's got sun dried tomatoes on it, which go great with chicken. And don't forget the home made cookies for dessert!!!

Food was much better than expected based on the looks of the place. Loved the bean roll up appetizer. Service was good. The manager kept walking around the restaurant but seemed to be in a fog. Did not see her interact with clients at all. We were there at a busy time and the girls at the sign in desk was very honest and accurate about the wait times. The bathroom needed some serious attention. Almost spoke to the manager about it.

Went to max and Erma's tonight to have a drink and a bite to eat. First, the margarita was super strong and tasted horrible. The cheese bites were good but not enough marinara sauce. When my meal came in a decent amount of time, it was almost inedible. I got the bacon and bleu sirloin. WAY too much bleu cheese and bacon. I had to scrape some to see my steak. And with all that on top it completely overpowered my steak. The steak wasn't evenly cooked (mid rare), throughout. Not to mention the old mashed and the micro/steamed broccoli. Overall the meal was poor, but the service was good and the waitress attentive and nice. Just don't see myself trying to subject my taste buds to that torture again.

My mom and I used to come here to this location every now and then & always had great service and perfectly cooked burgers. I'm shocked to so so many low ratings. Also it's always clean.

The service is not bad, waitress wasn't bad...but if u have fresh vegetables there is such a thing as to much salt.. Everything was so over salted I think my blood pressure went up by the time I left... I couldn't even eat what I ordered because even the health option was so smathered in butter it became bad for u...

Kids eat free every Tuesday but whenever we go I have to send the bill back because the server never deducts it! Plenty of choices for the little ones and fruit, applesauce and broccoli are offered as sides. The sundae bar is extra so we've never gotten it. My favorite is the chicken tortilla soup and village salad combo. I did try the steak one time but it was too cooked and I didn't like the seasoning on the potatoes. Also, their cookies- awesome! Order them when you sit down and they will be served warm after your meal. The white chocolate macadamia nut are my favorite.

Me: "Hi. I'm here to pick up the order I called in." Older Male Host: "Just back off! We're working on it and it'll be out when it's done." Me: "uh.. OK.." (with a look of shock on my face, biting my tongue so neither Max nor Erma spits in my burgers). Yeah.. the entire experience was downhill from there. Onto the food. Burgers were presented well in the typical craptastic square Styrofoam container. After a couple bites, I kind of wished Max AND Erma would of spit in the food after eating a better burger at a different restaurant. At least I would of tasted a burger then. Now some of my friends know I don't go to chain restaurants to support my local community of restaurantneurs, but this experience adds a whole new dimension of why I don't frequent chain establishments. You know the saying.. one bad apple ruins the bunch? In this case it was a burger. So all you franchisees and corporate owned restaurants, please thank Max & Erma's in Partridge Creek for my hesitance in ever (willingly) setting foot through some of your doors!

Just had a carry out from this Max and Ermas everyone else food was correct except I ordered a Turkey avocado Swiss burger. Got home took one bite and my turkey burger wasn't turkey it was beef. I'm allergic to all beef so I couldn't eat my lunch. Beware if you order turkey you might get beef.

Not the worst for Max and Erma's. The service is usually quick, and pretty friendly. I haven't had horrible food there, but it is typical of the chain. They have great chicken tortilla soup, sandwiches, and chocolate cake! Good if you want classics.

Great food, friendly staff (except for the hostesses, who sit there like lumps, cheesed off to have to show you to a table), excellent drinks, good prices, clean.

The chicken tortilla soup is the only thing that keeps me coming back. I have been here mainly for lunch, they always seem to be short staffed, and we usually have to wait to give our order, for our food, or for the bill.

The entire Max & Ermas chain pretty much sucks, but this location in particular is horrible. I've always had pretty good service here, but i certainly can't say the same about the food. My friend once claimed there was a curly coarse hair in her soup once. Yeah, you can imagine what that means. Another friend found a dead bug in her salad. YUMMMM.The BBQ chicken quesadilla is good, but you can get the same thing at the Macy's restaurant/deli and it's much better quality. The tortilla soup is totally over hyped and I am not entirely convinced that the chicken in it is real. The last (and final) time i ate there i ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, which i've ordered a million times before. The bun was coated in some sort of oily, weird tasting substance and was hard to eat. I refuse to pay for this overpriced crap. You'd be better off eating at a coney island.

I think the server stole my credit card info. I called the manager and she never call me back to tell me what happened. I'm just glad my bank caught it. The food wasn't that good anyway. I've contacted corporate. *updated, the manager called me back after looking into it. It took a couple weeks. I'm still not going back.

Well, a friend and I went there after a movie at MJR. It was my first time there. It was around lunch time and it wasn't too busy. Anyways, I ordered a turkey avocado burger. Service was pretty good, but when my burger came out, the avocado was mostly brown, you know, the look that avocado gets when it's been sitting out for a while? Unfortunately, it looked totally unappetizing and nothing like the picture in the menu! The burger itself was seasoned well though. I scraped the avocado off to the side and ate the burger. The waitress commented on it and I told her the avocado looked pretty gross. She agreed and later the manager came over with a few cookies and a $5 gift card for me to use down the road. It was a really nice gesture, and was much appreciated. I may go back there down the road if someone else wants to, but wouldn't really go out of the way to go back.
